Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy or specific exercises in water, harness the natural properties of warm water to facilitate the rehabilitation of many conditions. From the Romans at Bath to the Japanese Onsen, the relaxing effects of warm water have been used for thousands of years.

The natural buoyancy of water also allows for seemingly weightless movement. Painful joints and weak muscles are able to move more freely and efficiently.

Your physiotherapist may recommend a hydrotherapy program for relief of pain, a cardiovascular workout or to strengthen specific muscles and move specific joints. The sessions are fully supervised by a physiotherapist experienced in the use of hydrotherapy.
