Can I claim my Private Health Insurance on Physiotherapy services?

Yes, providing you have ancillary (Physiotherapy) cover with your Private Health Insurance. The amount that can be claimed back will vary depending on the insurer and cover that you have. We recommend checking with your insurer prior what you are entitled to claim back

Can I claim by swiping my Private Health Insurance card at the time of treatment?

Yes, we have Hicaps in our clinic which means you claim on the spot and only pay the gap.

Is Physiotherapy covered by Medicare?

Physiotherapy is only covered by Medicare under what is known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). A GP must refer you for this if they believe you have a condition that is covered under this scheme. There is a limit to the number of sessions that you are able to claim with this

Do I need a referral from my GP to see a Physiotherapist?

No you do not a referral to see a Physiotherapist for a private session. If you are involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident or Workplace Incident and claiming through insurance, you will need a GP referral for this

What should I wear to my session?

You should wear something loose fitting and comfortable, which allows the Physiotherapist easy access to site of injury
